When we transfer to Yuku...
If you have not migrated your ezB account to Yuku:
DON'T. Your ID will be transfered with the board migration.
If you HAVE: That's OKAY. I am busy getting some information about this but as far as I've seen, everything will transition over and if you already exist in Yuku, nothing adverse will happen.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO NOW:
1) Make sure the email address on your ezBoard account is CURRENT. This is absolutely vital as your login to Yuku is your EMAIL ADDY not your ID and if you don't have it as a current and viable account BEFORE migration your account will be lost.
2) EMPTY YOUR PM BOX with any messages you want to save. It is highly likely the PM box will be completely lost in the transition. If you communicate regularly through PM, I recommend you stop and begin using email. (I'd rather get an email instead of a PM myself, but I know folks who like it, so now's the time to get used to emailing instead of PMing, is what I'm recommending, so as not to lose anything.)
3) After you have made sure your ezB account's email addy is a current one, TURN ON "ACCEPT ADMINISTRATOR EMAILS" under Account Preferences. I will be sending out Board Announcements regarding the migration when the time comes and it is VITAL you receive and read them!!!
4) One of the reasons for this is that there WILL be a time period you cannot post at the board EVEN THOUGH IT WILL APPEAR YOU CAN, so BE AWARE OF THIS POSSIBILITY once we get into the migration "zone". If you post on the board during this time period, your post WILL be lost.
5) The Yuku board maintenance has the ability to be made "ezB LIKE", I will of course be turning that on, just be aware there will be differences, but at the end of the day, we will all get used to the differences.
6) Remain calm and don't panic. I will do my absolute best to walk us through this, but remember that I am learning this as much as you are and being patient will be greatly appreciated.
7) If you have comments or questions, please hold onto them. When we get closer to the time, I will open a thread for your questions and do my best to help you. In the meantime, I recommend reading the Yuku FAQ and familiarize yourself with your personal account usage to help lower the amount of questions when we get to migration.
Thank you!!
