Romance is in the air, but we've got nothing but complications all over the place at the Muse! From health issues and missing children in the *1876 Manor Chronicles, to crazy twists and turns in the Celestial Series* and *Another Take. With seven all NEW* pieces, we hope you enjoy it all. Now, on to the update … *Another Take Ben Wade* and *Cort* continue their common journey in the *NEW "Sure as God's Vengeance" pt. 6* by Riley. Ben's doing the job to get little Katie back alive and all Cort was to do is keep his mouth shut. He doesn't … but hopefully it'll all work out for the best. In the *Celestial Series,* *Ben Wade* returns in the *NEW* "*The Devil's Boundaries"* pt. 10 by Riley. Ben faces his ex-wife in Phoenix who presents a few nasty surprises he isn't prepared for while Alex makes his moves on Vivi back at the ranch. In *Crowe Fanfiction Longs, the all NEW Terry Thorne* story, *"The Downtime Woman" pt. 14* by Riley will return next week. It's hard to believe, but sometimes even I need a break from the amazing Terry Thorne. *NEW* in *Crowe Fanfiction Longs, Captain Jack Aubrey* in *"Fortuna's Favourite" chapter 9* by Jackie. Jack's ship is back on course, but his heart is adrift as a discovery pummels him, Stephen and the beautiful Cat. *The* *1876 Manor Chronicles* continues with the *NEW "The Awakening Breath", pt. 9* by the Chronicles Collaborative (Riley, Natalie, Meredith, Jessie and Jackie). Max Skinner works his way through the mess in his makeshift office; the vampire *Eric Northman* takes another stumble through the Portal; *Jeff Wigand* falls and it's a heart attack!; *Lachlan* plans a sexy Valentine's Day; *Terry* mobilizes *Dino* and *Zack* to rush to Vermont; *John* informs *Gerry Kennedy* that he has competition for Jackie's favor; *Kim* and Emily work toward filling the IT position at the Inn; *Jack* informs Natalie of a decision she doesn't like one bit; and Valerie cries with *Pullo* about Jacob's disappearance. *AND,* don't miss the *Egan* and *Juba Sidebars* this week! *Chronicles Fly on the Wall Sidebars.* *Juba* returns in the all *NEW* *"Time Eternal" pt. 2* by Riley. After a frightening search, Jacob is found but what he reveals to Egan tells all there is to know of a little boy's heartache. Now, on to the update … *Another Take Ben Wade* and *Cort* continue their common journey in the *NEW "Sure as God's Vengeance" pt. 7* by Riley. Ben is doing everything he can think of to get the job done and get little Katie back safely. He thinks he's alone but he has an ally he doesn't even know about hiding in the background. In the *Celestial Series,* *Ben Wade* will return next week in the *NEW* "*The Devil's Boundaries"* pt. 11 by Riley. I apologize for the short showing, everyone, but this week I suffered a nasty cold AND I started a new job. Hopefully soon I'll be back up to the regular volume. In *Crowe Fanfiction Longs, the all NEW Terry Thorne* story, *"The Downtime Woman" pt. 14* by Riley, Terry is safely hidden in Saudi Arabia with the CIA agent, Gila as they await the arrival of Andy Wilder … hopefully alive. Back in New York, Tamara plays 'chicken' with the CIA. *NEW* in *Crowe Fanfiction Longs, Captain Jack Aubrey* in *"Fortuna's Favourite" chapter 10* by Jackie. The Surprise has reached it's destination and Jack ponders his precarious position regarding the gold hidden on board. *The* *1876 Manor Chronicles* continues with the *NEW "The Awakening Breath", pt. 10* by the Chronicles Collaborative (Riley, Natalie, Meredith, Jessie and Jackie). Jeff Wigand suffers through his recovery from a heart attack; *Egan* and Jacob find their way together thanks to a family therapist, and the lovely Samantha DeLaCroix; Jackie discovers a late romantic Valentine invitation from *Max Skinner; Lachlan* gets a lucky break and gets lucky with Jessie; *Colin* discovers what he's gotten into taking on a woman for his new pit crew; *Gerry Kennedy* starts to think he's losing ground with the girl of his fancy; *John* learns something disturbing from Riley; and the vampire *Eric Northman* gets a guarantee from John Biebe … *AND,* don't miss the *Juba Sidebar* this week! *Chronicles Fly on the Wall Sidebars.* *Juba* returns in the all *NEW* *"Time Eternal" pt. 3* by Riley. Vivi doesn't follow orders well and makes her way to Ben against his instructions. But, she has a few problems to cope with in addition to all that; the ex-wife not the least among them. Perhaps there are nymphs or fairies messing with me? Who knows? Hollywood is a weird place to be living no matter what time of year it is. All in all there is a lot going on. For one thing, I've been working on a new novel that has caught the attention of two literary agents. It's called "*Cold in* *California" and I've decided to give you all a sneak peak. This is a tongue-in-cheek vampire story with a unique twist. Take a look and let me know what you think. Now, on to this week's update … In the Literary Section, check out chapter 1* of the all *NEW* novel, *"Cold in* *California" by Deborah Riley-Magnus. What happens to a vampire after he dies? Really and truly finally dies. Aside from the stake-in-the-heart, crumbling-of-flaky-burned-flesh, what really happens? This fantasy fiction novel playfully explores these questions and proposes that even the worst of the supernatural world get one more chance to earn heaven or hell. Rough Magicker Posts: 161 21 March, 2009 10:01 PM	March 22, NEWS *Hi everybody!* Just want to share some news about *Whispers of the Muse,* *http://www.whispersofthemuse.org/. We have a temporary change in our update schedule and some wonderful new surprises ahead! First, from now through May 3^rd, we will be updating every two weeks instead of weekly.* *The next update will be next week,* *March 29, 2009. There are some cool reasons for all this. Here's the news! Natalie* *is beginning work on a full redesign for Whispers of the Muse. It will be chalk full of changes, enhancements and refocuses and of course, it will take a while. Until that's ready (E.T.A early August) things will continue to look the same and updates will carry on. NOTE: We are currently sending out a call for Literary Submissions!* Next, our dear *Jessie* is working hard to get her new site, *The Illuminated Crowe, launched by the end of April. This is something you will all want to see! (Nat and I have had a peak and man, it will be gorgeous!) Our newest Chronicles Collaborator, Jackie* is currently on overload with her job as a publisher's editor over there in wild and crazy Amsterdam. Plus, she rocking and rolling with her rock and roll band. Extraordinarily talented lady! As for me, I've got to focus and finish the novel, *Cold in California; a novel for which a few agents have already asked for more chapters. It's a big, bad no-no* to send out queries on unfinished works. See, now I'm paying for it, LOL. In the meantime, we are all continuing our work on next week's Muse stories. Rough Magicker Posts: 167 7 June, 2009 09:55 AM	June 7 ANNOUNCEMENT: Whispers of the Muse Hello Everyone! Sorry, no update today, instead we are making an exciting announcement. After a month of experimenting with every-other-week updates, the numbers are all in and we can finally move on to the next phase of Whispers of the Muse http://www.whispersofthemuse.org/ ! Over the next few months, the site will be undergoing a wonderful redesign and visual facelift and so will our update schedule. Our Literary segment has been growing fast and furious and because of that, we have decided to update it separate from the general site activities. Beginning next week, we will be splitting our Literary updates and our FanFic updates into alternate weeks. We are thrilled with the changes and so glad you're along for the ride. As for me, I've had a lot of prospective agent interest in my novel, Cold in California, as well as a brand new, intriguing project on the very near horizon that may see publication before anything literary I've written yet. It's an exciting and busy time for me. In Fanfiction, we have the thrilling ending to Downtime Woman (Terry) coming up as well as a sizzling close for The Devil's Boundaries (Ben Wade) and the Chronicles are ROCKING now that Cal has arrived.
